The Golden Pin Concept Design Award celebrates conceptual design inspired by philosophies and ideologies from huaren culture and society.

Philosophies, ideologies, principles, and symbolism, often ancient in origin, are an integral component of modern huaren (Chinese-speaking area) societies, and yet the role the huaren world plays in shaping the design of everyday objects remains largely unexplored. The Golden Pin Concept Design Award seeks to deepen the exploration of and the discourse around that role. The award challenges designers of all nationalities and backgrounds to explore how philosophies, ideologies, and concepts originating from huaren culture and societies might influence and inspire the evolution of the design field.
